I have a SS158 EDX that does the same thing,I have found that some of the caps around the tuning cans are very sensitive to temperature change hot or cold very common for these radios and looks like not they are not of very good quality.

Ok found the problem,I forgot that I had 2 fuses in the plus line,1 near the battery and 1 at the back of the amp plus the negative also,the 1 near the amp had very high resistance which acted as a thermistor cutting off the supply,and tnx for the info on the fuse,I did forget that it was even there...

Flash I have had the hi low button stick on me sometimes and the counter looks like its scanning,I would suspect the hi/low switch.

Well I have the M202 going again,tnx to those who offered advise,such as Rick in a pm and ramblingman,I over looked a small 3.3 ohm resistor which was connecting the driver output to the final,it looked ok but it was open I replaced it and bingo up and running.
