You add a crystel switch too that radio it won't go out of band man.
The 2824 is a locked pll, any grounding will fry it.
But you can unlock the clarifier. Varactor diode. See dk mods..

Well We just had a walmart radio on the meter,3- was max watts So a Palamar Mod-5 Modulator Works great. It is varabal power out put,It can handle 10- watts hitting it. It has 1446 pills in it 2-of them,$109.00 H&Y on the phone. No RMK crap, NO Texas star 2869 in it. I'm using the palamar wright...

Do you have a fuel pump relay on that Freight thing..? If so pull it while you have the radio on and engine running.. Dose the noise go away while you have the relay in your hand.
