You mentioned that I will need to change the resistors between the display and the channel selector or damage the new display. What values should I change them to?

Sorry for the upper case. Is it going to be a bear to remove the faceplate & channel assembly? Will I need any special tools?

I Just ordered BLUE L.E.D.CHANNEL DISPLAY, BLUE LENS & RED/BLUE TX/RX LED . Has anyone done this mod before on a new 148 GTL??? Do I need to pull the whole radio apart? Any advice or installation tips fron you experts would be greatly appreciated I dont want to ruin a new radio.

I just bought a new COBRA 148 GTL & need help geting blue led channel display W/ blue plastic Lens cover & blue meter light. Anyone know where i can get them ??

I CHANGED THE RESISTOR TO A 26 OHM AND THE RADIO WORKS FLAWLESSLY. 1.3 WATT DEAD KEY WITH 8 WATTS FOWARD SWING WITH A LOT OF TWEAKING. ALL SIGNAL REPORTS SAY AUDIO IS VERY LOUD BUT NOT DISTORTED. ON TO MY NEXT PROJECT...THANKS FOR YOUR HELP..
