Q51 collector voltage only .9 volts on AM TX, should be around 4 volts. SSB TX voltage is 13 volts which is correct according to info I have here. Replaced Q51 with same results. Only battery in there is the memory battery, it tested fine and is working.

I have an older version RCI 2970 that I just turned on and it is stuck in the TX mode. The amp board is working fine with full output, and whith the amp board power disconnected the problem still exists. Checked the mic jack as well, seems to be fine. Anyone seen this problem before and can help?? O...

Well, got around to replacing the finals, not the problem. It appears my driver bias is very high according to the TX alignment manual, and wont adjust down to the 50-60 mA range. Would you suspect the driver in this case? Thanks!
