Use a volt meter and check to see if your getting 13.8 volts at the on/off switch.

Update- replaced TR37 (2sc945) as suggested and no change. I do not have a 2sc1969 final to swap so i have a eleflow cb-20 on order as i have read good reviews on these as replacements.
Does anyone have alignment procedures so i can check the alignment to rule it out as the problem.

I have a new china made 148 gtl that i opened up the clarifier using the info on this site,it now slides about 9kz down and 5 kz up.The problem is even after doing an alignment using the info on cbtricks the transmit freq. does not match the receive freq.I have a galaxy fc347 wired to the radio and ...

I am having a similar problem with my 148gtl-can you tell me how you are lining up the transmit and recieve,in other words wich cans for the receive and wich ones for the transmit etc...
