even further, lost RX,
all diodes and transistors seem fine (using an ESR)
TP3 next to VCO won't go below 4.5v needs to be 2.5v to lock the VCO
so any ideas why the voltage is so high ??
D1 is still ok

10 years later, dragging this one up :) Nato 2000, D1 ok, D1 on relay board ok.. has RX ok.. TX relay clicks, no output and no TX lights, also no voltage to TX light (so not switching in to TX.. Q36 shows voltages on all three pins (the darlington) so am i thinking a switching transistor on the rela...

bringing this old thread alive.. i have four of these CTVR radios.. two are Sirtel searcher (Maxcom 4E) type radios with 46mhz transverters installed. the other two are the genuine CTVR-40 radios, and work..!! very well built and 4w out, but yet to try on an antenna.. love to know what happened to t...

just do a search on the net for any 11mtr 27mhz antennas then for 26mhz make the lengths a couple or three inch longer..
most 5/8th wave 27mhz antennas will SWR around 26.5 to 28mhz.. all below 1.1:5
