thank you ramlbing man,, my radio is dead keying 5 watts swings to 18. with super loud audio.. i put in 35volt 470uf super swing kit in... would you know what cap is for the amc circuit modifications. i have the pc 901 ab board. (its not the same as the pc 417.) galaxy

i put new finals and driver in the radio,,when i cut d -9 . its dead keying 4.5 swings to 14 . should i change the pre- driver , would that help me do more wattage or do a pwer mod to it, thank you for help,,, galaxy

let me Thank you again.now the receive works and my channel display lites up! NOW on transmit my audio sounds to tinny. this radio is 25 years old. I know that the capacitors can dry out. can anyone tell me what capacitors to change to get it to sound bassy and to get loud audio. galaxy

checked d-25 it reads 7 volts,,d-27 it reads 14 volts,, d-28 its reads 8 volts. check pin 1 . it reads 14.62.. i can not read a schematic, thats why i need your help..... galaxy

I changed the driver (2sc2166),and I adjusted the bias, vr-15 (40ma) vr- 16 (15ma) then i tuned L - 39, L- 37 & L- 32. The radio's wattage is at 4.5 swings to 9.5 -10.... SSb is at 10 watts. thank you, galaxy

I have a cobra 140 gtl (same as a cobr 142 gtl) my meter doesn't deflect on transmit or receive. the meter checked ok, i used it in another radio.my radio works fine
