MC301 & 1SS53

Hello there,
I have problem to find diods for my President Lincoln (HR2510) the one I need is MC301
and when I ask "RF Parts" they say use 1SS53.
Is the 1SS53 of the same type as MC301 ?

Yes the 1ss53 is a proper replacement for the mc301 diode
