galaxy pluto frequency expansion?
i know it seems pointless as this radio does have quite a good coverage anyway, but ive seen a pluto on e bay with coverage from 25.1 - 28.770Mhz! Is this a good mod? can it be done to my radio? currently the coverage is 25.6-28.3mhz.
also, while were about it, does anyone know where i can get a copy online of the schematics and alignment details for this rig? my version doesnt have (or appear to have) the echo board in it.
many thanks
Jimbo

Modifcations
Hi well the radio is capable of quite a coverage....I have got one myself that covers 24.715-29.205 although ime having little trouble wiv the bottom coverage just need to mod my vco but not got round to it yet.....
To modify radio for this coverage the easiest way is to program ur own eprom for the radio quite a simple task if you have the apropriate equipment other than that u can add to the diode matrix to acheive the higher bands but for lower coverage you can snip a small link at the side of the mc145106 which will drop the radio by 256 channels so u will cover most of 24mhz all be it not in 1-40 order
