Uniden GrantXL No AM Transmit LSB & USB OK

I need help, the radio transmits on LSB & USB but not AM Mode, I have checked some cap and diodes near VR10 am I in the right area?

Check Q503 (2SD1135) this go short, common problem.

i have an older type grant xl i cannot find Q503, im having the same problem, any other suggestions?:(
