cobra150gtldx no transmit on some channels

i did the channel mod on a brand new cobra 150 gtl dx and after the mod which opened cb band and 26.065 and up--some of the frequencies will not transmit about 2/3 ---mainly from 26.305-26.955 and 27.545-27.995 is this normal with this mod or is something else wrong??swr is perfect and everything else seems to be working

I noticed the same thing with mine.
Everybody drivers like crap but me....

what can be done to remedy the problem??is there a remedy

Look at r676 should be just above the site where r138 was removed during the conversion. if r676 is not there you will not be able to transmit on the frequency that you stated. if you still have the r138 then install in on the pads of r676 if it is missing.

That's what I did and it transmits on all channels now. Also, if you don't have the surface mount resistor you took out to convert the radio, you can use a regular 1K ohm resistor. Be careful! The traces are very easy to overheat and lift on these boards!
