Supermod?(Loud Mouth)

Post by Woodstock »

Does anyone know what the website is that tells you step by step how to supermod a radio? I was on it once and didn't mark it, now I can't find it. I've been talking for years, but am just now trying to do my on work because the guy with the only shop in my area has retired and moved so, if I need something done, I have to do it myself for now. Thanks.

Supermod

Post by Woodstock »

I'm going to mod a Maxon Mcb 45W (if it will take any mods) and one of the new Cobra 29 LTD LT SE radios. I can't find much info on the Maxon and none on the Cobra. I would like to add echo boards to both. I know that different models of Cobra 29 take different mods and I would like to put an Expo ch. kit in it if I can find out which one to get. I have emailed Bell's cb radio a week ago but they have yet to reply. Any advise/info on either radio would be greatly appreciated.

I've already done the channel mod on the Maxon. I also clipped one led of the mod limiter transister, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I don't know how to supermod or loud mouth it, though. I would also like to know if it will take an echo board. My email is sunsetsuperman2112@yahoo.com

 if you want to repair cb's the first rule is NEVER EVER CLIP THE MOD LIMITER!!!!! It will make your radio sound distorted and sh***y and youll overdrive the final !! this will shorten the life of your radio and cause you more problems. you can find info for that radio on cbtricks.com go to radio info and look for your model...Thanks Chia...ps just my .02$

Yeah. Don't be clippin' stuff off a radio. How would you like it if someone clipped something off you to make you louder?
