Galaxy DX 959High SWR No Receive

Galaxy 959 Dual Finales. Radio indicates high SWR and no Recieve Found broken Coax Cable made repair rechecked SWR using internal Meter on Radio Still High SWR No transmit no response from other operators. Can't recieve signal from highway 2 miles away. Checked antenna SWR with another radio checks OK 1.1 both FWD and Reverse. I suspect I blew the finals due to the break in the coax cable. Can blown finals cause both transmit and recieve loss. How do I verify

try checking the wire that runs to the coax connector on the back of the radio it may be broke loose at the connector or the board the board is sometimes the hardest to see good luck

How can you have a high SWR if it is not TXing

dont trust the internal swr meter they are not accurate get a good meter dosy or the like and youll get more accurate readings.. does the ant light come on?
