Cobra 200 GTL DX Question

Post by mknight52 »

I have recently acquired a new 200 GTL DX. Did a freq mod on it and works great except.....when I transmit I have the talkback feature going on. Is that normal for this rig? Talkback occurs when I am transmitting in both the external speaker and the radio speaker, doesn't matter. I dont mind it too much unless I turn volume up and then my voice is yelling back at me.
How do you turn this feature off? There is no control for it and nothing in the manual that mentions the rig having Talkback.

I don't own one but I have read the the 200 gtl dx comes with a factory switchable talkback. It uses the echo on/off switch to activate/deactivate it.

Yep, it was right under my nose......had echo turned on, when I turned it all the way counter-clockwise it has an indent and switched talkback off. Must be a newer release of the 200. Thanks!
