bleeding all over every thing

is there any way so stop splattering all over the people next doors house i have a antron 99 and my antenna is about 75 ft in the air.it only happens when i plug in my galaxy 98 vhp .when i run my cobra 29 ltd i have no problems.i just bought a fat boy 1500 watt base amp but i dont want to hook it up becouse i already splatter on them with the bare foot radio any advise im willing to try any thing[/code]

Sure there is get your self a metal antenna and make sure you have good grounds on all of it

i have the same radio...on a shooting star...same problem...i just bought a interceptor 10k....that should fix the problem...

but the antrons were worse than most

Sorry about the sarcasm on other post but its true

Get your self a good tvi filter like a drake or johnson tune able one should help a lot

Also get your self some good coax like lmr 400 double shielded or like it

belden 9913 is good also but dont have double shielding

Remember dont cheap out on the feed line

you can also do this put ferrite beeds at the feed point of the antenna
you can find them at radio shack

a few other things...

i tried phone line filters...didn't help...low pass didn't help...AT ALL..another thing you should note...

no power mikes, try to keep the modulation cut back to 100% or a lil lower.

i run rg 213

Try making an rf choke, its just 8 to 10 turns on coax wound on a form about 6 to 8 inches in diameter,do not overlap the coils , wind them side by side and mount it as close to the antenna feed point as possible, yes it looks ugly but its cheap and it works very well.
