Check the voltage at the input and output of the voltage regulator IC8 Pin 1 and 3, also check the voltage at the Emitter?s of Q1 and Q2. Let us know what voltages you have.

IC 8 = Input 0, Output 0
Q2 = E 0, C 0 and B 0, then i saw a resistor kind of friedthen i just touched it, it was hot as :evil: , and re tested again as follows: IC8=Input 8V, Output 5V, Q2= E 4.8 C 2.5 B 5V Q1= E 4.8V C 2.1 B 5 V, then i touched the fried resistor and broke loose, i beleive is the R 37, so if it is i will need the value, can u give ur opinion on this???

Where is the resistor soldered from and to? I ask this has R37 would not stop you counter from working.

R 37 is soldered between the +13V and the Voltage input, of the IC 8 , this resistor stops the freq counter from working, without this resistor power won't reach the input of IC 8

Ok I see the R on your diagram. The diagram I have does not show that R it show a Choke in the R37 position this maybe a revision change. Any way the R is 47 Ohms 1/8 or 1/4 Watt should do the job. This R will run warm in normal use. If it is running very hot try un-soldering the output of the voltage reg Pin 3.

Well Mike, i just don't have this type of Resistor ( chip resistor ) at the present moment, to replace the fried one, i'll get with you to show u the results, and thanks again for everything u do for all of us.

Replace it with a standard 1/4 watts type, it will probably stop it getting hot (too much current draw) and will work just fine, just be careful when soldering it in on those tiny traces, you wont need much heat.
