did i mess up?
did i mess up?
I have a midland 77-285 that my grandfather gave me and i have the antenna mounted to my tool box and apparently its not grounded right. do you think i've messed up the radio becuase of the swr being off? i really hope i didn't and what would you suggest me do? groung directly to the mount or my toolbox?
Andus91,
You haven't really told what problem you have, I'm sure most don't what to say....
You had bad SWR's.... OK... does the radio still transmit? Does it receive? Have you hooked up another antenna? Have you changed your exsisting antenna?
You said a friend heard clicking, did he see a carrier on his meter? Did the radio show it was TX'ing? Did it show modulation on the meter.
Give us some info and there are a lot of great techs that will be happy to assist!
