Cobra 18wxst switching channels

Hello I am new here, Recently installed a Cobra 18WXST in my jeep for when we are offrading and when I am on a channel I can hear my friends but when I press the mic to talk the CB switches back to channel 9. I have no Idea why can anyone help? thanks in Advance

Make sure that the fuses are good on both positive leads going to the radio because if the orange wire is not connected to a constant 12v source every time you turn your radio off or switch to weather bands when you go back to cb or turn the radio back on the radio will go to channel 9. Make sure you have 12v going to red wire also.
