realistic trc-423 no tx

Post by MRFixit »

Hi guys , I recently aquired an old realistic trc-423 mobile I have tried everything to get this old set to key up. I have re-wired the mic end and tested mic with ohmmeter everything in mic is ok, it worked on another set. So I tried jumping the tx pin directly on the radio with no results no tx lights. There is also no audio on the PA when testing mic any ideas?

Sorry I did not read all your first post.

Do you have any RX audio?
Is any of the LEDs in the bargraph working?
What is the voltage at transistor Q505, and Q506 in RX and TX?
Rick.

Yes there is RX audio,No there are no working LEDs on the bargraph . Which leg on the transistors do i check for voltage, on collector emitter or base? What should i see for Volts? If the voltage is lower than normal should i replace transistors Q506 and 505? Thanks.
