Post by hamguy2 »

hi rick, got that crystal from truck cb shop uk 2 days ago ,i was just wondering is there alignment required with the clarifier control or adjustments required also what crystal do you remove to put this new crystal in for 26mhz or does the x2 crystal have to be soldered to the board or plugs into something or componenty on the board, the crystal never came with any circuit or install instructions ,thanks davids nsw australia :?: :?:

You will need to unsolder the original and put the new one in its place. I have a Cobra 200 on the bench, so when I get to work, I will let you know which one it is. If the radio requires an alignment after crystal install, it will be a minor touch-up on one adjustment.

It's the crystal nearest the front of the radio, just to the left of the 3 tuning coils. If it requires adjustment, adjust T-711 for 10.2400 Mhz at the collector of Q21.

Sorry for the delay, I have been busy the last couple of days.
