My 2510 swings in direct relation to the variable rf adjustment......1w dk/ swing about 3-------2w dk/ swing about 5--------3w dk/ swing about 8....and so forth.....eh??

I need a supertalk?.....or pix and directions to build my own swing kit and 'where to put it'......

A little help please.........

CB tricks didn't show anything on the 2510....(I just couldn't find the thing??)

I don't plan to change the finals or the driver.......just and the diode/ resistor type mod to hold my modulation/ swing the same from all levels of deadkey.......

Sorry, wrong modulator circuit. Nowhere for that diode to go. Same "low-level" AM modulator used in the President Jackson.

Every successful setup I've seen to retain peak power at low carrier would become unstable in at least one of every three radios. Seems that model radio will have excess transmitter RF running around inside it, causing mod circuits to do bad things.

It's not really a full-performance AM transmitter, as far as I'm concerned.

I used to have a 2510 back in the day. They were very good radios but did need some help to make them loud. They were well known for having low audio as stock.

Sorry I don't have any part numbers or directions anymore but you could instantly get more modulation by removing the ALC limiting transistor and there was a set of 45watt Motorola finals that would go right in it along with a different driver transistor. They were readily available at RF Parts in California and were easy to replace-install. These 3 mods really made the 2510 scream. I also put the CHIPSWITCH repalcement CPU in it which gave the radio many useful additional capabilities.
