Astro AS 200 23 channel no TX

I have an old Astro Electronics AS 200 23 channel cb serial # 00488
I've used this radio since I bought it 10 years ago for $5 bucks. It didn't have a mic when I bought it so I put a basic Galaxy mic on it. I recently hooked it up again and couldn't TX I even tried my Cobra mic and an Astatic I just repaired for a friend.
If anyone has any knowledge on this particular radio and as to why it wouldn't transmit I would greatly appreciate it.
