Help. Bad engine noise when I transmit

I installed a uniden mc 635 radio and I transmit BAD engine noise when I talk. If I shut my vehicle off, it goes away. I ran the ground and the power directly to the battery, but if I unhook my ground my radio still works until I unplug my antana. My antenna is bolted directly to the vehicle. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanks for any help.

hi there,,is the noise in both rx and tx audio..or just in the tx audio

Got it fixed. IT was the radio itself. I hooked upo a new one and it works great.
