I'am sure glad you guys ( and gals ) are here..
I recently got a Cobra 25LTD Classic.
It works great.
On a Dosey meter it dk's at 4 watts and swings to 15 watts.
Dont know whats been done to it.
My problem is ( if it is a problem ) that the meter shows around 9 #
of noise where my other radios show 1#.
When I key the mike the needle drops down till I talk then it goes up to
wherever.
Any ideas or shouldn't I be concerned

It is possible that the radio meter is just sticking.The meters
on the cobras are know to do that.And the radio meters are not
very accurate anyways.So as long as it test good on the dosey
i wouldnt worry about it.
