How does one open this NZ channelized/marketed radio to perform like it is advertised,
'GME GX300 CB Radio has both Australian 27MHz Marine and Land based frequencies in the one unit.'
In this case kept on New Zealand channels but reactivate the other band option.

I do not have anything on that model, so I cannot say what may be done to convert it, it may be a crystal swap, or a programming change on a PLL or CPU.

Or it could be that the NZ version is not exactly the same one as the AU version, it cold be factory modified to work on NZ instead of AU.

i think you can do it using a crystal especially cut,m thx dave nsw australia
