1. disconnect the antenna and ni-cad battery
2. remove the sticker that cover the optional barometric pressure meter and remove the meter if installed
3. you will notice that there are 8 jumpers, for the USA version jumpers 5,6, and 7 are bridged together and for the UK version jumpers 4,5,6,and 7 are bridged together.
4. using a 15-20watt soldering iron remove all the jumpers except number 6 (this work for the UK and USA version)
5. you can now transmitt from:
