Alignments

This page shows the alignment instructions for the Uniace 100, 200,
Audioline 340, 341, Realistic 2000, 2001

These alignment instructions are for the PCB numbers PA 034 and PA 039
Adjustments for the PA 034 are in brackets ( )
Carrier Oscillator Alignment

Put radio on CH 40,TX.

Connect DC Volt meter to TP-1.

Adjust L17 for a reading of 3.5 V +/- 0.1 V.

Change to CH 20, RX.

Connect oscilloscope to TP-3.

Adjust L18 for maximum reading on scope.

Transmitter Alignment

Put radio on CH 20,TX without modulation.

Connect oscilloscope to TP-2.

Adjust L16, L15 for maximum reading.

Adjust L14 for maximum reading.

Adjust L13, L12 and L10 for maximum reading.

Adjust L10 for 4.0 W reading on external RF power meter.

Inject a 1 Khz 30 mV audio signal into the mike socket.

Adjust VR5 (RT5) for 1.9 kHz deviation.

Remove the audio from mike socket.

Adjust VR3 (RT3) so that the needle is in between the green and red sections on radio's TX meter.

Change to low power.

Adjust VR4 (RT4) for a reading of 0.4 W on external RF power meter.

Receiver Alignment

Put radio on CH 20, RX.

Connect RF signal generator to ant socket, then connect AC Volt meter to J3.

Adjust L6, L5, L4, L3, L2 and L1 for maximum reading on AC Volt meter.

Change the RF generator level to 2000 uV.

Adjust L19 for the maximum reading on AC Volt meter.

Change the RF generator level to 100 uV.

Adjust VR1 (RT1) so that the radio's signal meter reads "S-9".

Change the RF generator level to 1000 uV, set the volume and the squelch to maximum.

Adjust VR2 (RT2) so that the signal just breaks the squelch.

I make a special EPROM expansion board that will add 4 more bands to many radios that use either Binary or BCD programming, it also adds a 10KHz shift function as well, click here to find out more.

I can also make a custom board upon request which will give whatever frequency range you want (within the limits of the radio).

This counter shows the number of hits since the 7th October 1998
