The finals in it now seem to test fine. I did replace the 2166, because it was the only one that seemed affected to the reverse hookup. When I was turning the am power up. It shot up to around 35-40 watts. But so did the dead key. And then I turned it down. I like the higher watts, but I need a lowe...

K I have another question. Everything is working fine. And I guess maybe the VCO might be out on the a.m. a little don't know. Well I found it last night. I broke out the old pencil & started poking with the eraser. And found a cold solder. It was around the 3 ic chips on the left side of the radio that are all right there together. But she is a talking now. 10-4!!!! Thanks. :D

Weird thing is. When I key it up & its not working. I get talk back thru the speaker. Does this still sound like the VCO & if so how do I adjust it?
