What is working:

What has been tried:

Did it suddenly happen ? progressively
Anything else that may be of help?: when i key the mic tx power is low approx 2 watts i could tap the case of the radio and it would come back up to 10 watts tx but it has now stop returning to full power if i tap the case still tx about 2 watts can anyone please help. PS (I have had the radio since new and has'nt been opened)

That sounds like a dry joint John, it's time to get the claw hammer out and remove the screws or take it to your local rig doctor. Hitting it won't solve the problem It'll just give you a sore hand
