hi guys, someone told me that the president georges are really good radios. i wouldnt mind buying a 148gtl dx mk1 or 2 if i can get my hands on 1 to buy, anyone know much about president georges are they as good as a president lincoln or jackson, thx david from australia

I am curious myself if the President George is a current model radio, if not, then it appears quite rare.

The President George is not current model, it was discontinued some 3 year ago.

You would be better off with a Cobra 148GTL-DX MK2.

The Cobra is easy to work on where the President George is SMT radio.

The President Lincoln is ok but now hard to get parts for and a pricey PA transistor, if you can get one.
