Galaxy saturn overmodulates

I have a older galaxy saturn that ovemodulates so bad that I have to turn the mike gain almost off and it still sounds bad.I think somebody removed the mod limiter.I would like to replace it but I dont know what to replace it with. Thanks

hello there,,and welcome to the forum..tr-32 is the amc shunt,,,and tr-53 is the amc amp,,,they are both 2sc-945p transistors....depending on which transistor was pulled...some remove tr-32,,and some remove tr-53...i is better not to remove either one...but if i was gonna remove one,,take out tr-53...removing tr-32 tends to make the audio sound hollow sounding...but like i said it is best to leave both intact,,and just adjust vr-14 which is the amc adjustment,fully clockwise..then adjust vr-13 which is your am power adjust,,for 2 watts deadkey...this should sound good......ramblingman

you can get them from rf parts out of cali...but only bad thing about that you have to have a minimum 25.00 order....do you have any old parts radios laying around..if so just take one out of it....if you cant find any anywheres else,,let me know,,and give me your address and i will mail you one....i have a few laying around......ramblinman

marveylus22 Iwant to thank you for sending me those transistors.I had some health problems and just got around to installing them ,they did the trick.Thanks to everyone that helped me out with my problem.
