old tube type -robyn t240d-no tx

hi guys,,,i just bought one of these old rigs a couple weeks ago..it was working pretty good to begin with.just wasnt doing much wattage..so i decided to tune it abit..so i found a manual on it,with the proper tuning locations,all was well until i got to t-10 tuning can.i which i broke the adjusting core..it was old a brittle,so it didnt take much...then i lost tx,,and cant seem to get it back..i even took another tuning can out of another old tube radio.one from a gemtronics gtx 5000 and changed it out..but it still wont transmit..i am not too fimaliar with these old rigs..i would appreciate any help or ideas on this one...but iv have learned one lesson..dont mess with one of these old rigs..if they a working leave them alone..hah ha i guess a bought lesson is a good reminder to leave well enough alone...but you know how us cb rambos are got to try to get that last watt out of it..he he god bless and have a good day ramblingman
