Hi, everyone. I am new to this site and am looking for help with this radio. I have replaced the final and driver but still no transmit or recieve on the unit. The points work, but no SWR or power on the meter I have hooked up.It has a voltage regulator that is getting hot that is close to the PLL ,which is a LC7113. Could it be the PLL going out or something else?

i know this might sound silly...but is your mike working correctly??

Yes, the mike is working properly. I have two mikes, one is off a working TRC457. The radio was working, then the points stuck and now all it does is make noise, no transmit, no recieve on AM or SSB. I cleaned the points and they are working now.

Do you have a circuit diagram for your TRC459?

No, I don't have anything on the radio. I have been trying to find something on net but there isn't much out there on this radio.

I think it is the same as TRC480 but not 100% sure.

Yes, I think you are right. I know they have the same PLL.

did you ever have any luck with this radio...i am having similar problems
