Have i Damaged my Rig

Hi just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction, i have a Midland/Alan78 plus multi UK FM, i was wonderng if it was possible to gain a little extra TX power, i noticed on the block diagram there is a TX power ADJ it says RV 204 i looked on the board and there is no RV 204, but on the electrcial diagram i spotted a RV 1 which is a Regulator would this be the TX power regulator? i have adjusted it so that the ressistance value is low, have a done the wrong thing 
just to add... it could just be the weather but the reception on the rig now seems to be really good.
