Symptoms: Radio comes on but will not transmit are receive meter on radio shows dead key and will show swing when i talk but shows no watt output on my watt meter.

are you sure there's not a fault with your patch lead or your power meter? normally if there is a fault with the radio it will not show any swing on the internal meter either
