Remove the top cover.
Remove the red jumper wire at the front edge of the pc board. (On some units,
it is orange.)
One end of the wire is connected to two solder pads that are soldered together.
Unsolder these two from each other making sure that each pin is re-soldered
individually.
The radio will now work on the C. B. band.

1) Open up your radio.
2) Find the small circuit board on the left of the radio.
3) Cut the green wire and tape it off.
4) There is an unplugged connector by this board..plug it in.

Channel Expansion Version 2
Remove bottom cover.
On the left side of the radio (Front panel facing you) look for a red wire on
the small pc board. (foil side up)
Unsolder this wire at both ends and dispose of it.
Be certain that the solder pads, from which the wire was removed, are soldered
correctly.
Remove the screw holding the board onto the chassis.
On the top side of this board (component side-which was down) there is a row
of pins with nothing plugged into it.
There will be a matching plug close by that is lying loose.
Plug it onto the row of pins and replace the screw holding the board to the
chassis.
The radio will now work on the cb band.

Channel Expansion
Remove bottom cover.
On the left side of the radio (Front panel facing you) there will be a frequency
counter (a tin-plated metal box).
Remove the screw that holds this box to the chassis and move the frequency counter
to one side.
Located on the channel selector board you will see a small red jumper wire.
Remove it, being sure not to over-heat the surface mount components.
Lying nearby is a plug that is not plugged into anything.
Plug it in to the empty socket on the channel selector board.
Also lying nearby is a yellow wire and a brown wire, each cut into separate
pieces and each covered with heat shrink on their ends.
Solder the two yellow wires together and the two brown wires together.
Use black electrical tape first to cover them and then cover the taped connections
with heat shrink tubing.
Re-mount the frequency counter to the chassis and the unit will now function
on the cb band.

Channel Expansion
1.Remove the top of the case (The Part that does not have
the speaker on it) and locate the wire (is usually green or red about 2
inches long) toward the front of the radio. 2. Unsolder it from the ground and the two pins. After
you have removed this wire make sure there is no solder connecting the
two pins together. 3. Find the connector toward the front right of the radio
labeled 10K and reconnect this plug to the connector on theû circuit board.
(NOTE: This plug may already be attached when you get your radio.) 4. All thats left to do is put the case back on and your
done.

Remove the top cover.Just above the PLL you will find a jumper block. There is only one jumper on this block..Move the jumper
from bottom left position to top right position.I have been informed by a visitor to my site that it is
possible to get coverage from 26.000 Mhz - 31.999 Mhz buy adding another
jumper instead of moving it.Just add the jumper between pins 2 and 3, leave the other jumper
on pins 4 and 5.
Channel Expansion Version

Remove the top cover.
Near the front of the radio located behind the display will be a black jumper
block next to two pins that have nothing on them.
Another black jumper block comes with the radio and will be in the accessories
package.
Slide it over the 2 pins that are not covered and the unit will operate from
26.000 mhz to 32.000 mhz
