If you own a chipswitched radio then you can expand it by re-programming!
Go into programme mode and select feature 31.
Then enter ##.400.0 Mhz.
Exit programme mode.
Then go to the password frequency for your radio and then turn it off.
Push the F-LOCK button in.
Press and hold the BAND,SPAN and CHANNEL DOWN buttons, turn the VFO KNOB anti-clockwise and then turn radio back on again (all of this has to be done at the same time !).
You will need to hold the buttons and turn the VFO for about half of a second after the radio turns on.
Release the F-LOCK button.
Check to see if the procedure has worked,if not try repeating until it does.
You may need to broad band and retune the power output for the new range.
To broadband the PLL just add a 220 pf ceramic cap across C326.
To retune for the new range, go to 25.5 Mhz and peak L319.
I am not sure what the password frequency is supposed to be, i think that it may be the serial number of the chipswitch.
IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT THE PASSWORD IS PLEASE CONTACT ME!
This counter shows the number of hits since the 7th October 1998
