Luiton LT-298

Channel Expansion

The Luiton LT-298 is a multimode (AM/FM) radio with a stated possible frequency coverage of 25.610-28.300MHz.

The bands are selected by turning the radio off, turning on the CH9 switch, and then turning the radio on, change channels to select bands, the bands can then be accessed to choose the frequency range to be used.

Note: Restarting the radio will display the current band in use.


Bands:
E1 - Italy/Spain: AM/FM 26.965-27.405 (4W)
I2 - Italy: AM/FM 26.875-27.265 (4W/5W) (not all models)
d2 - Germany: 40/80ch FM 26.565-27.405 (4W) and 12ch AM 27.285-27.405 (1W)
EU - Europe/France: AM/FM 26.965-27.405 (1W/1W)
CE - CEPT: FM 26.965-27.405 (4W)
-U - UK: FM 27.60125-27.99125 (4W)
PL - Poland: 26.960-27.400 (4W)
-d - Full Coverage: 23MHz to at least 28MHz (depending on VCO lock)


Note, radio can go down as low as 23.500MHz in band -d (possibly more, possibly less, depending upon its VCO lock), it will transmit there, but receive sensitivity is poor this far from its normal operating range.



When power cycled, the radio reverts back to normal CB band.
