Thanks. I found that the coils that go to the buffer and driver were out of whack. Works mighty fine now. I love the reciever in this old unit. It's quiet and picks up really well. Again thanks for your help, Tim.

Need help, low power on low channels.
I've been trying to figure out the problem with an old President Zachary T.(early model) base I was given. It's weird, from channel 30 to 40 it will dead key 8 watts and swing 15 but from 30 down to 1 the power goes away. 1 - 18 will not even move the needle but I can hear my voice on my scanner but...
