Cobra 146GTL How is the channel display removed?

Post by captron »

I am trying to replace the channel display on my Cobra 146GTL and have the front board exposed. The LED Channel display looks like it is pluged into a blue scoket. But the display will not come out. I have gently tried to pry it out out this scoked as much as I can without feeling like somthing is about to break. The radio was manufactured in June of 1991. What am I doing wrong?

Thank You Rick. The top row of 8 pins on the disply are about a 32/100" away from the ribbon cable. Extreamly hard spot to get to. Ron
