Hey folks. I have a quick question. The radio works awesome it has the 8719 pll in it. What I would like to know where is the jumper that I need to remove to install a swing kit on this model. Is it L34 that I need to remove to added the 220 cap at 16 volts? Thank you gents!

hello,,,no you cant use that kinda swing mod like the cobras use..youll need to go the npc type mod on the washington....what is the # of the p.c. board...does it use the pc 385 like the uniden washington.

hello once again marv..if your radio has the same board as the uniden washington,which is the pc-385.here is the web site too go to for the npc mod for the washington.

And from what I think your doing, you`ll need this 1 as well.
R94 It is just above R99 and a little to the left.

Thank you gents. I did locate r99, and r94. I droped them down to 2.2k Ohm.

Did you remove TR32? and did you tune coils L36,L37 for maximum forward AM POWER?
If you did, whats it pushing?

No I did not remove tr32. I left it in so that the side band won`t get garbbled. I clipped the limiter.

well this mod is by far the best that I have ever seen. You get all the A channels it goes up and down a fair bit and to top it all off. You even get the 3 digit display. Looks very cool.
Well thats my opinion anyway.
