pres.hr2510 weak rx

my pres hr2510has weak receive. it is connected to an A99. Any signal has to be 10 db over 9 to register on the meter. I have compared the radio to another healthy hr2510. Any signal 9 s units or less on healthy radio, does not register on weak radio, although i can hear the signal, it sounds like they are 20 miles away. I have had radio fo over 15 years, and have seen rx deteriote over past 3 years. In the past rx would come back briefly when i keyed tx. But that does'nt work anymore. Are there any voltages in radio i can check?

It sounds like a bad solder joint, try re-soldering around RX strip and around plugs and sockets, and also check the small electrolytic capacitors as there are known to give trouble.
