warbling rci 2950

I just recieved a rci 2950 the previous owner used a 7 amp power supply with it an it now warbles is this caused from the voltage regulator an if so where is it located and the part number anyone know?

As there are three models of the RCI-2950.

How many amps is the power supply you are using.

he was using a three amp power supply on this 2950 running full power for a week or so then it started to warble on ssb mode also used the heavy duty power cord for radio not the lil cobra style power cord i am using an astron 20 amp and i have a 35 amp back up for testing things. not sure wat modle this rci is it has amber lighted led it that matters? can you tell me what part number the voltage regulator is for the 2950 so i may order it and install it?......thank you
