anyone know the part number and location of the voltage regulator on an rci 2950? i have no schmatic for this rig and believe its out on my newly aquired toy thank you all

You will have to be more specific, there are many voltage regulators in that radio. There are also several different board revisions for that radio as well, the latest (DX version) being the most radical change.

warbling rci 2950

the rci that i have is not the dx version an the voltage regulator im lookin for is due to warbling audio on ssb mode it was run on 3 amp dc and now has a sever warbling on ssb mode i was told it was a voltage regulator? i have no clue where to begin on this rig if there is some numbers or info i can give you to help identify wat board or model? let me know ill look for wat ever you need to help identify my rig an problems thank you

The PCB number is right at the front the radio and will start with EPT2950???

As for warbling audio on SSB this can be due to a few thinks, like bad driver and finals check they are the right ones as someone may have change them for the wrong ones, also check the bias on the driver is setup right.

I do not think it is the voltage regulator, but you wish to check them out, there are 4 of them IC4, IC6, IC15, and the pass regulator Q51.
